Illustrator Quentin Blake has demonstrated his exceptional ability to make children laugh by being shortlisted for both age categories of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize 2010. Set up in 2008, the prize is awarded to books that make children laugh.
The judging panel comprises of Michael Rosen, Shappi Khorsandi, Philip Ardagh, Bruce and Nicolette Jones. The winners have now been released however and the winner of the Funniest Book for Children under 6 went to Louise Yates and the winner of the Funniest Book for Children aged between 7 and 14 went to Louise Rennison.
