CQC makes further changes to their registration process

As part of their bid to streamline their registration process, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has made a number of changes to this process - all now published on their website.

These changes include;

- Once more, they have changed all of their application forms
- They have relaxed their rules about CRBs, which means that they will now accept CRBs that are up to 6 months old
- References will no longer be required as standard; they will only be required when an individual is considered 'high risk'
- An organisations 'nominated individual' will no longer need to have a CRB check completed and will no longer need to ascertain references
