Faber to teach self-publishing
As reported in Writers' Forum...
Faber's new writing academy has launched a three-day self-publishing course titled 'Bring Your Book to Market' with author and social media champion Ben Johncock and blogger and digital self publishing exponent Catherine Ryan Howard. Faber publishing director Hannah Griffiths will also give a workshop called 'Rules for authors'.
Faber Academy's director Jason Cooper told The Bookseller that there was no conflict of interest with the publisher's core business, saying; 'I think, as a publisher; if we are worried about self-publishing, the solution is to publish people. I think we can see that there are people in different situations and with different ambitions who will go down different routes.'
The course will take place on 17th - 19th February at Bloomsbury House, London, and costs £425.
